The timid Marcello (Marcello Fonte) runs a dog salon in a rough suburb to Rome. He lives for his dogs and his 10-year-old daughter and life is nice and calm. On the side, he deals with some cocaine for the people in the neighborhood and especially for the rough Simoncino, who keeps the whole city in terror. But Marcello sees Simoncino as a friend, which will lead him straight to disaster. The film was nominated for a BAFTA, and actor Marcello Fonte won the prize for Best Actor at Cannes Film Festival.
