Portrait of a lady on fire

In 1760s France, the artist Marianne was commissioned to paint the portrait of the wealthy young lady Héloïse. A potential husband in Milan wanted to see what she looks like, and the portrait should be sent to him when it is done. However, Marianne gets an odd instruction. Héloïse does not want to be married at all and does not intend to cooperate. Marianne must look at her stealthily during the day and paint the portrait at night. During the days, the two women get closer and closer and an attraction arises. But during the nights, the portrait takes shape, and when it's done it will separate them from each other.
