Nora and Hae Sung were close friends as kids, but lost contact when Nora's family emigrated from South Korea. Twenty years later they are reunited in New York, not knowing what it will lead to. Nora is married and seems to enjoy her life, but meeting Hae Sung brings out thoughts in both of them about life changing choices and the power of fate. The hyped Past Lives is already a favourite for the Oscars, and considered to be one of the strongest movies about love, ever made.
