During the depression in Mississippi in the 1930’s the three prisoners Ulysses Everett Mcgill, Pete, and Delmar are on the run. While trying to get back home to their families they also try to find the treasure that Everett claims to have hidden after his latest coup. On the long journey through the American south, they experience the adventure of a lifetime, as they meet colorful personalities who will put their cunning skills to a test. But right behind them is the sheriff, Cooley, determined to bring the trio back to prison. George Clooney, John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson, John Goodman and Holly Hunter performs this visually talented, playful, entertaining and humorous pastiche on Homer’s Odyssey.
