In a car crash between a limousine and two other cars, everyone is killed except one woman. She is suffering from memory loss and confused she takes shelter in an apartment. A young woman called Betty arrives at the same apartment. Betty has moved to Los Angeles to fulfill her acting dreams. Betty meets Rita, as the confused woman calls herself and together, they search for the truth about Ritas identity. At the same time, the young director Adam Kesher gets a problem after several threatening and strange meetings with odd characters. All of them want him to give the role to the young and unknown actress Camilla Rhodes. In David Lynch's acclaimed film, we see Laura Elena Harring, Naomi Watts, and Justin Theroux. The film won the prize for Best Director in Cannes 2001.
