Dear White People
The main character of American director Justin Simien's debut movie is Sam White, University student. Sam is a black young woman with strong social patos and recurring nightmares about starring in The Cosby Show. At the highly regarded university, she leads the student radio program Dear White People. In the program, she makes fun of and attacks the racism she sees in at the on the surface correct and multifaceted university. She propagates for the superiority of black culture to such an extent that she becomes accused of racism against whites by the university's black principal. A masquerade celebration organized by a group of white students leads to the already tense mood turning into riots.
