It is 1984 and the self-confidence is broken for the people in Köping. IKEA has closed down and moved to Västerås and Jan Guillou appointed the city as Sweden's most boring city in Rekordmagazinet on tv. But one man don't take this too hard. Hasse P (played by Mikael Persbrandt) is his name and is an, on and off, alcoholic entrepreneur with a series of failed projects and broken marriages behind him. He has an idea: Fix the citys reputation with the help of a place in Guinness's record book.
