A famous French actor named Seydou Tall is visiting Senegal, the country where his parents come from, to advertise his book. There he meets 13-year-old Yao, a Senegalese boy who traveled nearly 400 kilometers to meet him and get an autograph. Tall is impressed and touched by the boy and decides to change his plans and drive Yao back to his village. But the journey to the village is not quite as simple as he imagined and soon, they are on an adventure in Senegal's countryside where Tall is forced to confront his roots in his parents' homeland. In the lead role of Tall is Omar Sy, known from the popular feel-good movie The Intouchables.
