The Wakhan Front

The French captain Bonassieu leads a group of soldiers in northern Afghanistan. When it's soon time for the troops to retreat, Bonassieu’s group gets a surveillance mission in a remote valley in Wakhan, just on the border with Pakistan. The group does what they can to accomplish the mission and make it out of there alive, but the more time they spend there, the more they realize they are not in control of the isolated valley. Then, a dark night, soldiers begin to mysteriously disappear in the valley. The Wakhan Front won one of the four prizes it was nominated for at the Cannes Film Festival.
