In the sleepy little town Valleby, the good-natured Chied of Police, recently elected the Most Popular Citizen of Valleby, suddenly begins behaving very strangely. What no one suspects is that it is the villain Conny Chameleon dressed up to take revenge on the police chief who 20 years earlier put him into prison. Lasse Maja's Detective Agency is facing its most difficult and dangerous mission yet.
