Lilla Valleby is getting ready for a party. The café owners Dino Panini and Sara Bernard are getting married. When the couple's relatives arrive from Italy it appears that they are from rival Mafia families, whichare led by the matriarchs Breasola and Clara. When the Panini family's precious jewel Stella Nostra disappears it is time for Lasse Maja's Detective Agency to step in, but this time Lasse and Maja become the main suspects.
