In this documentary about the world's most successful hockey team, American director Gabe Polsky shows a new side of the Cold War. Behind the success, there was a team that lived in isolation in training camps, forced to leave their passports and controlled by the KGB during tournaments so they would not escape. The film portrays Captain Slava Fetisov's journey from national hero to a political opponent but also the country's transformation from the Soviet Union to today's Russia.
