Red Army
In this documentary about the world's most successful hockey team, American director Gabe Polsky shows a new side of the Cold War. Behind the success, there was a team that lived in isolation in training camps, forced to leave their passports and controlled by the KGB during tournaments so they would not escape. The sport had become a form of warfare; The Cold war was ongoing in the rink. The film portrays Captain Slava Fetisov's journey from national hero to a political opponent but also the country's transformation from the Soviet Union to today's Russia.
