Brain On Fire

Over 12Contians anxiety 95 minutes 2016 6.6

Susannah is a young, successful journalist on her way to a great career when she suddenly begins to have strange attacks. She switches between violent outbreaks and being catatonic, and despite several visits to the hospital, diagnoses and treatments, she doesn’t get any better. All physical tests are normal, and doctors begin to suspect that the problem is psychological. But when one doctor says schizophrenia and the other bipolar, Susannah and her family begin to lose hope. Then suddenly she meets a doctor with a completely new theory and they again dare to hope - will he finally be able to give her the answers? Brain on fire is based on the autobiographical novel of the same name by Susannah Cahalan.
