Haispray is based on John Waters' classic film from 1988 and is about Tracy Turnblad. Her greatest dream is to be part of Baltimore's hippest TV program “The Corny Collins Show”, where she would get the chance to show off their skills in what she loves the most – dancing – for the whole city. With an overprotective mother (John Travolta) who constantly reminds her that her size is a barrier the dream feels far-fetched, but her father (Christopher Walken) gets her to reconsider. "With its music, humor, and the glowing actors, this is simply wonderful – and behind all the fun, the great idea of the equal right to enjoy yourself regardless of the color of your skin emerges", writes Mats Bråstedt in Expressen and rates the film 4 out of 5.
